Here at Boyd County Christian Church we believe in the importance that youth has in the church. The youth are the future of the church and need taught the values of Christianity through Scripture and active fellowship, with a little fun. I hope you enjoy this page as it shows, through pictures, what God has blessed us with. All are invited, so please, come join in on the growth and fun!
Summer Carnival
Here are some pics of our annual carnival that we have to kick off the summer activities at BCCC.
We have slides, games, food, and yes you can dunk the preacher in the dunk tank!
Vacation Bible School
Every summer we have a Vacation Bible School filled with activities, food, and fellowship. What better way to learn about God with your friends. This past summer, a certain penguine by the name of JP, lead us through each nights events as we TOOK THE PLUNGE WITH JESUS!, in the VBS waterpark!
Harvest Party & Lock-In
Every halloween, we have a harvest party and lock-in for the youth. The youth, and yes, even preacher Pete, will dress as their favorite bible character, enjoying refreshments, games, prizes, devotions, and planned activities throught the entire night! Can you name the bible prophet that Pete came as? Hint: He is carrying locust and honey.
Christmas Play
The youth had put on a wonderful presentation of the birth of Jesus Christ. The script was written straight from the Gospels, with vibrant costumes, singing, and heart felt acting, which made for four spiritual performances. If you missed this past years showing, we expect to see you for the next! Is that King Herod.....or peacher Pete?
We do keep in mind that there is a time and place for everything. Through active fellowship, we make time to teach about the only begotten son of God, which is Jesus Christ. We teach the importance of repentence, baptisim, and how to live a christian life. Living a christian is not only fun, but also, very rewarding. Below you'll find one of our youth being baptized by our youth minister.(Which also happens to be his younger brother!)
We have events planned throughout the year for our youth. Youth Church is every Sunday night beginning at 6:30 pm and seperate youth classes on every scheduled church day. We do require the kids to attend Sunday morning worship. Again, please come visit us and if you don't have God in your life, today is the day of repentence. God Bless.
